I connected Dropbox but no folders or albums appear

Updated Aug 31, 2026 1 min read 54 reads

When you build a book from Dropbox, we read the first level of your Dropbox only — the folders you see the moment you open it. Folders placed inside those folders are not read, so if your pictures are stored a couple of levels down, the "Select albums you want to add in your Book" window will show No items found.

To fix it, move or copy the pictures you want to print into a folder at the top level of your Dropbox — one folder per album works well — then reopen the selector and your albums will be listed.

Two other things worth checking:

  • The folder has to contain the images themselves.
  • The Dropbox account you connected has to be the one holding those photos. You can disconnect and reconnect it from your Connections page.

Still empty? Write to help@mysocialbook.com with the name of the folder you expect to see and we will look into it.
